Error 530 from ftp connections

Hello. When I connect to my account via FTP I get the following errors:

Status:	Resolving address of zango.bplaced.net
Status:	Connecting to 148.251.158.38:21...
Status:	Connection established, waiting for welcome message...
Status:	Initializing TLS...
Status:	Verifying certificate...
Status:	TLS connection established.
Command:	USER zango
Response:	331 Hello zango, your FTP account password is required:
Command:	PASS ****************
Response:	530 Login authentication failed
Error:	Critical error: Could not connect to server

I am getting this error also, from Filezilla:
Response: 530 Login authentication failed
Error: Critical error: Could not connect to server
When I submitted a support ticket, I was told there were ‚some irregularities were found when you registered‘ - but they do not elaborate. I don’t know what I am doing wrong here - its just a very simple website with just some photos - does anyone else have any clues?
